Religious Trauma, Spiritual Abuse & Faith Deconstruction
START THERAPY
Therapy for church trauma, faith transitions, and faith deconstruction
Religious trauma can leave you feeling as though parts of yourself were never allowed to fully exist. You may carry persistent guilt or shame, struggle to trust your own thoughts and feelings, or find yourself questioning beliefs that once provided certainty and comfort. For some, spiritual abuse or painful experiences within a faith community can create a deep sense of confusion, loss, or isolation. You may feel caught between the desire to honor what was meaningful and the need to make sense of what was harmful. Whether you are navigating church trauma, a faith transition, or faith deconstruction, these experiences can affect your relationships, identity, and sense of belonging long after you have left the environment where they began.
In therapy, we will create space for the questions, grief, anger, doubt, and longing that often accompany religious trauma. Together, we can explore the messages you learned about yourself, your worth, and your place in the world, while making room for your own voice to emerge. As you develop a deeper understanding of these experiences, it becomes possible to move beyond fear and shame toward greater self-trust, authenticity, and freedom. Healing does not require having all the answers. It begins with creating space for the parts of you that may have never felt fully seen or heard.
