Therapy for Immigrants & Children of Immigrants

Support for navigating immigration, family expectations, and cultural identity

Los Angeles is a city built by people who came from somewhere else, and by the families they raised here. Immigrating can mean leaving behind a language, a community, or a version of yourself, while building a life in a place that doesn’t always feel like home. Growing up as the child of immigrants carries its own weight: the pressure to make your family’s sacrifices worth it, the feeling of moving between two worlds without fully belonging to either, or the sense that your own needs should come second.

Whether you are adjusting to life in a new country or making sense of what it meant to grow up between cultures, therapy can offer a space where you don’t have to translate yourself. Together, we can explore the grief, loneliness, guilt, and obligation that often come with these experiences, along with questions about identity, belonging, and family loyalty that may feel hard to talk about elsewhere. Over time, it becomes possible to honor where you come from while making room for who you are becoming, and to build relationships, with your family and with yourself, that feel more authentic and less burdened.
